Wonpil from DAY6 released his solo mini-album 'Unpiltered' on March 30th, receiving enthusiastic response from music fans. This new work marks his return approximately four years after his solo debut album 'Pilmography' in February 2022, featuring emotions he has experienced and translated into music. The album debuted at number one on both Circle Chart and Hanteo Chart's daily album charts on release day, with all tracks charting in Melon's top 100. The title track 'Love Ward (사랑병동)', which Wonpil participated in writing and composing, conveys desperate emotions of unfading love's pain through emotional guitar melodies and explosive band sounds, with his restrained emotional performance in the music video effectively delivering the song's message. To maximize listener engagement, Wonpil organized multi-layered events to strengthen bonds with his fanbase 'My Day'. He first hosted a listening popup exhibition 'WONPIL : Unpiltered Layers' from March 27-29 in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, offering synesthetic experiences including listening booths, album-related photo displays, and handcrafted soaps personally scented by Wonpil.
