Duo FLARE U (Choi Lip-woo, Kang Woo-jin) shared their thoughts on their first comeback in an interview. The two, who met on Mnet's 'Boys II Planet', debuted in May with their first mini album 'YOUTH ERROR' and made their first comeback on the 14th of this month with their second mini album 'LOVEHOOD'. The album contains six tracks, including title track 'Bloom' as well as 'Hundred Nights' and 'Never Ever'. Choi Lip-woo said the album carries a feeling that is refreshing yet wistful and warm compared to their debut album, and Kang Woo-jin explained that while debut song 'WAY 2 U' depicted love between lovers, the new song can be interpreted differently depending on the listener, such as love between parents and children or between friends. Choi Lip-woo said that being a duo has the advantage of letting each member stand out more, which also brings pressure, but he uses it as motivation and thinks a lot about how to fill his own parts. The two, who live together in their dorm, also shared that Choi Lip-woo, an MC of music show 'The Show', practices his hosting lines while showering. Kang Woo-jin said he longed to communicate with fans after 'Boys II Planet' and waited for the fan communication platform Plus Chat to open, and, looking back on the past year, said he feels comfortable and happy now that things are more stable than at debut. On the 26th, FLARE U released the self-produced comeback content 'Protect It! Climate Observation Club' on their official team YouTube channel. The content introduces a club that observes sun showers — brief rain that falls on a clear day — and follows the process of recruiting new members; the two appear in school uniforms making a PPT and holding a debate battle, and the latter part shows them filming a promotional video set to 'Bloom'. It expands the album's world, which portrays love arriving at an unexpected moment through the image of a sun shower, and FLARE U have continued promotions using the weather concept, including appearing earlier as one-day weather casters on YTN News.
