SHINee member Key is set to return to the public eye after a five-month hiatus from activities. Key's return was announced on March 3rd when Golden Disc announced SHINee's upcoming solo concert. The group will hold their eighth solo concert '2026 SHINee WORLD VIII : [THE INVERT]' at the KSPO DOME in Seoul's Olympic Park from May 29-31. Key's hiatus stemmed from the 'unauthorized cosmetic procedure' controversy, where it was revealed that he received unlicensed medical treatment from an unlicensed practitioner. Through an official statement, Key expressed his regret, stating he felt "sorry and ashamed to those who believed and supported" him, and promised to "faithfully handle all matters related to this incident." As a result of the controversy, Key withdrew from MBC's 'I Live Alone' and tvN's 'Amazing Saturday,' and also stepped down as MC for the '2025 MBC Entertainment Awards.' In photos related to the upcoming concert, Key appears noticeably thinner and more gaunt than before, raising concerns among fans.
