SHINee's Onew released his single album '착각' (Illusion) at 6 p.m. on the 20th. It is his first release in about seven months since his 5th mini album 'TOUGH LOVE' in March, and it explores, through different genres and moods, the emotions arising from differences in interpretation — how people perceive the same things and experiences differently. Onew put forward triple title tracks. Main title track 'Illusion' layers the strong rhythm of UK garage over a smooth flow and tells the story of attaching meaning to someone's small gestures until, crossing the line between reality and imagination, one reaches certainty. His agency Griffin Entertainment said Onew completed the song by communicating directly with overseas songwriters and is also credited as a lyricist and composer. The music video shows Onew enjoying a perfect day on a set until he faces the truth while watching the edited footage. 'Mind Games' with YUJU and 'Tic Tac Toe' with ZICO were pre-released; 'Tic Tac Toe' hit No. 1 on Bugs' real-time chart on release day and topped Circle Chart's digital and download charts for week 41 (October 4-10), and won a music show without Onew appearing. Onew took part in the production of every song on the single. He will meet fans at his solo concert '2026 ONEW CONCERT 'ONEW THE LIVE : Q' IN SEOUL' at the Olympic Hall in Seoul's Olympic Park from the end of this month through November 1.
