Red Velvet's Wendy tops female solo idol category at 15th TTA — double celebration ahead of November solo comeback, her first in 1 year and 2 months

Red Velvet's Wendy won first place in the female solo idol category at the 15th TOP TEN AWARDS (TTA) hosted by TenAsia. The final vote for this TTA, which selects the best global artists of the first half of 2026, ran from August 21 to 25, and Wendy drew fans' support having established herself as a solo singer with her distinctive tone and vocal skills. Wendy, who debuted with Red Velvet in 2014, released her first solo mini album 'Like Water' in April 2021, followed by 'Wish You Hell' in 2024 and 'Cerulean Verge' last September. Last year she held her first solo world tour 'W:EALIVE,' performing in Seoul, major Asian cities such as Taipei, Hong Kong and Tokyo, and several U.S. locations. In August this year, Red Velvet marked their 12th anniversary as a full group with the summer mini album 'Velvet Summer' (five tracks including title track 'Surfin' Boy'). Wendy will make her solo comeback in November, about 1 year and 2 months after 'Cerulean Verge.' She recently sang 'Recharge Me' for the soundtrack of Netflix series 'Recharge Me' and is also a DJ on SBS Power FM's 'Wendy's Youngstreet.' At this TTA, BTS's V topped the male solo idol category, while MONSTA X and ILLIT won the boy and girl group categories.
