Song Ha-young of fromis_9 is re-recording an OST from the drama 'Full House', which aired 22 years ago. According to her agency Eston, her remake of 'Cheoeum Geu Jarie' (In That First Place) will be released on major online music sites on the 21st at 6 p.m. 'In That First Place' was the love theme of the KBS drama 'Full House', which aired in 2004, and was originally sung by Lee Bo-ram. As the drama became popular at home and abroad, the song also became known to viewers across Asia. It was written by composer Lee Kyung-seop, who created hits for singers such as Jo Sung-mo, Sumi Jo and Kim Kyung-ho, and his songs have been remade by singers of various generations including Kim Jae-joong, Bumjin, DinDin, Lee Woo, Navi and Kwon Eui-bin. The song depicts the feelings of someone who faces a sudden farewell at the place where love began and, while knowing they must let go, cannot easily do so. Song Ha-young's remake keeps the lyrical melody of the original while adding a modern pop sound, turning it into a fresher easy-listening track, and she conveys the longing and yearning of the lyrics with her clear voice and delicate emotional expression. In K-pop, new-generation artists have recently been reinterpreting past hits: UNIS remade Vivi's 'Haneulttang Byeolttang', RESCENE remade KARA's 'Pretty Girl' and AtHeart remade Roo'ra's '3!4'. Song Ha-young has previously sung OSTs for dramas such as 'My Only One', 'Undercover Miss Hong' and 'I'll Give You the Universe' ('Uju-reul Julge'), and fromis_9 won three music show trophies with 'Vitamin ME', the title track of their second full-length album 'Glow ME'.
