K-pop supergroup SEVENTEEN will release their 5th full-length album 'HAPPY BURSTDAY' on May 26. This marks their first regular album in approximately three years since 'Face the Sun' in 2022, coinciding with the group's 10th anniversary since their 2015 debut. The album title 'HAPPY BURSTDAY' is a neologism combining 'birthday' and 'burst,' representing SEVENTEEN's explosive rebirth energy and their determination to move forward fearlessly into a new era. All 13 members—S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, Dogyeom, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino—appeared in the promotional video announcing the album. The video features a massive black envelope suspended in a dark subway station setting, with the back containing hints about upcoming projects. The climactic ending shows an ornately decorated birthday cake with flames erupting as the album title 'HAPPY BURSTDAY' appears in striking black and red visuals. The album release will be accompanied by additional activities including 'a new tour,' 'unit single albums,' and 'new SEVENTEEN content,' heightening fan anticipation. Additionally, the vocal unit leader Woozi and performance unit leader Hoshi recently released their first unit single 'Beam' last month, demonstrating SEVENTEEN's multifaceted activities across various formats.
