JYP Entertainment announced on February 25 that TWICE member Dahyun will halt her activities to focus on recovery. Dahyun's injury occurred during the early part of TWICE's world tour 'THIS IS FOR' North American leg in early January. Despite suspected ankle issues, Dahyun continued performing the scheduled shows. After returning to Korea on February 3, a detailed medical examination diagnosed her with a fracture. However, JYP did not announce this until February 11, informing that she would miss the remaining North American concerts scheduled from February 13 to March 7. Her recovery was delayed further, causing her to miss the Taipei, Taiwan concerts from March 20-22. Eventually, JYP reannounced a full suspension of activities without specifying a return timeline. This decision comes amid intensifying criticism over the agency's artist protection system as consecutive health issues among team members have emerged. The controversy centers on the grueling 78-show tour schedule that was forced through despite the injury, and the agency's delayed response after the fracture was confirmed.
