BTS drew more than 150,000 fans over three days in Peru, a country the group visited for the first time since its debut. BTS held the Lima leg of its world tour "ARIRANG" at Estadio San Marcos in Lima, Peru, on the 7th and on the 9th and 10th. The run was originally planned as two shows, but one more was urgently added after all seats sold out right after ticketing opened. The added show also sold out, bringing cumulative attendance over the three days to about 151,500. Fans greeted the members with Korean sing-alongs and cheers. The members shouted "Los amo" ("I love you") in Spanish and said, "Your energy is truly amazing. We wonder why we only came to Peru now." Jimin, whose birthday is on the 13th, said he would never forget the great love fans send from the other side of the world. The concerts also had a large economic impact. Peru's Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) projected that more than 50,000 people would visit Lima during the shows, generating a tourism effect of about 18.7 million dollars (about 25.1 billion won). The Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL) estimated that the event could generate up to 200 million soles (about 78 billion won) in economic activity. BTS, which began its world tour in April, will continue with shows in Santiago, Chile, on the 14th and the 16th and 17th, followed by La Plata, Argentina, and São Paulo, Brazil, to continue its South American schedule.
