Girl group ILLIT have unveiled snippets of their fifth mini album ‘BREAK EVEN’ for the first time. On Oct. 5 they posted a teasing video on the HYBE LABELS YouTube channel. The video opens with the warning that ‘irritation comes faster than you think’ and follows the members’ changing emotions in daily life that doesn’t go their way, set to the album’s tracks. The title track ‘I’ll Arrest You (체포하겠어)’ is an electro-pop song whose upbeat whistle sounds make it highly addictive. In the video, the members dance excitedly while a crackdown squad holding ‘TOO LOUD’ signs engages them in a playful standoff. B-side ‘Super in Love’ is a dreamy indie dance track, featuring a scene in which MINJU, after an excited phone call, faces a room tangled up in a heart-shaped phone cord. In the baile funk track ‘Pop,’ a “Pop Pop” sound bursts out as the pancake tower YUNAH and WONHEE carefully stacked collapses, and in the speed garage track ‘More,’ IROHA, left alone during a game of tag, takes off her blindfold and gets angry. Ahead of the comeback, ILLIT will hold their encore tour ‘ILLIT LIVE ‘PRESS START♥’ ENCORE in KOREA’ at INSPIRE Arena in Incheon on Oct. 17 and 18, and release the fifth mini album on Oct. 26.
