‘KBS Music Bank in Barcelona,’ the 21st show of the ‘KBS Music Bank World Tour,’ airs on KBS 2TV at 9:50 p.m. on Oct. 7. The concert took place at 7:30 p.m. (local time) on Sept. 12 at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Barcelona, Spain, where about 37,000 fans filled the venue with cheers and Korean sing-alongs. ATEEZ, ENHYPEN, NMIXX, xikers, NCT WISH, CORTIS and ALPHA DRIVE ONE took the stage. The MC was actor Park Bo-gum, who hosted ‘Music Bank’ in 2015–2016 and has regularly hosted the world tour since ‘Music Bank in Singapore’ in 2017, including stops in Jakarta, Chile, Berlin, Hong Kong, Paris, Mexico, Belgium, Madrid and Lisbon. The concert was themed ‘Flood of Light - COLORFUL WORLD OF K-POP.’ A highlight was a duet by MC Park Bo-gum and ENHYPEN’s Jay, whose sweet harmonies created a mood different from the performance-driven sets. In special stages reinterpreting legendary K-pop songs, ALPHA DRIVE ONE covered aespa’s ‘Armageddon’ and xikers performed BTS’s ‘DNA.’ ATEEZ delivered a powerful set and handed signed balls directly to fans. Launched in 2011, the ‘Music Bank World Tour’ is a K-pop festival that travels to fans around the world.
