Mnet Plus’ new variety show ‘IDOL’S TABLE’ premiered at 8 p.m. on Oct. 6. Hosted by Kim Poong of JTBC’s ‘Please Take Care of My Refrigerator’ and comedian Lee Eun-ji, the first episode features BamBam, NCT DREAM’s Jaemin, Chenle, Tsuki and Carmen as idol panelists. ‘IDOL’S TABLE’ is a global K-food talk show exploring the food tastes and personal recipes of K-pop artists and global idols from diverse cultural backgrounds. In the preview for episode one, Jaemin revealed his love of cooking, saying, “I like feeding other people more than eating something delicious myself.” The first episode unveils recipes from Jaemin and Chenle, and the cast tastes the dishes together. In the preview, BamBam watched Jaemin cook and said, “If you’re this good, why did you become an idol? You should open a restaurant,” raising anticipation. Producer Cho Ga-young said she wanted to show that anyone can enjoy Korean food in their own way, and hoped global fans would discover Korean cuisine anew by following idols’ favorite foods and recipes. ‘IDOL’S TABLE’ airs every Tuesday at 8 p.m. on Mnet Plus and every Wednesday at 8 p.m. on Mnet.
