Former CIX Member HYUNSUK Lands First Lead Role Three Months Into Acting: So I-jun in Teen Thriller ‘Cheongdam International High School: Royal Camp,’ Losing 12 kg After Gaining 10 kg

HYUNSUK, a former member of CIX, has been cast as So I-jun, the male lead of the new drama ‘Cheongdam International High School: Royal Camp’ (directed by Park Bong-seop, written by Oh Je-ra, produced by Y.Not Media), his agency Management Run said on Oct. 6. It is his first lead role, three months after he announced his move to acting with the tvN drama ‘최애의 사원,’ which ended in September. ‘Cheongdam International High School: Royal Camp’ is a teen thriller set in a high school and is currently preparing to film. So I-jun stands at the center of the story surrounding Cheongdam International High School and is cool-headed and rarely reveals his true feelings. HYUNSUK significantly adjusted his weight for his roles. He gained about 10 kg to play Ji Young-hyun in the TVING series ‘Study Group Season 2,’ which recently wrapped filming, and then lost 12 kg to become So I-jun. His agency said he is showing remarkable growth as an actor by adding intense effort to build his character on top of the expressiveness he honed on stage. HYUNSUK debuted as a member of CIX in 2019. After CIX officially ended group activities in April, he signed an exclusive contract with Management Run in June and has focused on acting.
