CNBLUE, now in their 17th year since debut, drew an enthusiastic response at the Busan International Rock Festival, engaging the crowd with live playing and powerful vocals. Leader Jung Yong-hwa’s stage presence, a talking point at every show, once again drew attention. In particular, “Eba-ttwi” (short for “Everybody jump”), a catchphrase that has become synonymous with CNBLUE at rock festivals, is getting fresh attention after this performance. Jung appeared on the festival-singer special of the variety content ‘Pinggyego’ released on Oct. 3, explaining the phrase himself and thanking festival audiences for the love they show the band. According to KOPIS statistics, this year’s Busan International Rock Festival, where CNBLUE performed, drew a total of 40,101 people, the largest attendance of any domestic music festival held this year. Having wrapped their festival schedule, CNBLUE will hold solo concerts at KSPO DOME in Seoul’s Olympic Park on Feb. 20 and 21 next year—their first solo concerts at the venue since debuting in 2010.
