SHINee’s KEY has shared his recent experience of receiving a free upgrade to first class on a flight to Singapore. On Oct. 3, SHINee’s official YouTube channel posted a video documenting KEY’s trip to Singapore. KEY said he had booked a business-class seat with mileage but was unexpectedly upgraded to first class. In the captions he expressed his excitement, saying he had used miles for business class and luckily got bumped up to first. On board, KEY enjoyed the flight by looking over the amenities and menu at his seat one by one. He tried scallops, salmon and gazpacho from the in-flight meal before choosing steak as his main, compared two white wines and also ordered champagne. Repeatedly impressed by the first-class service, from the linen tablecloth to the spacious seat, KEY browsed the in-flight duty-free selection after his meal, and after arriving in Singapore unwound with a half-body bath at his hotel. Separately, KEY became embroiled in controversy last December when his acquaintance with the so-called “injection aunt,” who was accused of performing illegal medical procedures on TV personality Park Na-rae, came to light. His agency said at the time that KEY had believed the person was a doctor; KEY stepped down from scheduled activities and the programs he was appearing on and apologized on social media. He was questioned by police last month on suspicion of violating the Medical Service Act in connection with the case.
