SEVENTEEN’s JEONGHAN X JOSHUA released the trailer ‘DREAMSCAPE : BETWEEN TWELVES’ for their first mini album ‘DREAMSCAPE’ at midnight on Oct. 5 via the HYBE LABELS YouTube channel and SEVENTEEN’s social media. The video shows the two moving between noon and midnight and encountering different dream worlds. The trailer builds a dreamlike mood by intercutting realistic scenery with surreal moments: ordinary spaces warp in an instant, strangely shaped clouds appear, and JEONGHAN and JOSHUA wander as if inside a dream, while sharp alarm sounds set against soft instrumental music add tension. Motifs of repetition and cycles appear throughout, including an ouroboros swallowing its own tail and ponds and clouds rotating in circles. The opening and ending interlock: JOSHUA enters the room where JEONGHAN sleeps at the start, and at the end JOSHUA opens the door and looks at the sleeping JEONGHAN. JEONGHAN X JOSHUA will officially debut as a unit with ‘DREAMSCAPE’ on Oct. 19. The album traces how two kinds of “dreams”—unconscious fantasies that unfold in sleep and ideals one hopes to achieve in reality—interlock and collide. According to PLEDIS Entertainment, the contrast between ‘Daydreamers’ and ‘Dreamchasers’ teased in the official photos continues in the video. After the release, the duo will meet fans with the solo concert ‘JEONGHAN X JOSHUA JOURNEY INTO [DREAMING]’. The tour opens at Inspire Arena in Incheon from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1, then moves to Belluna Dome in Saitama on Nov. 21–22 and Galaxy Arena in Macau on Dec. 11–12, followed next year by Taipei Arena on Jan. 9–10, BEXCO in Busan on Jan. 30–31 and AsiaWorld-Arena in Hong Kong on Feb. 20–21, covering six Asian cities.
