BTS Comeback Live Reaches 18.4M Netflix Viewers in One Day

BTS made their complete group comeback after 3 years and 9 months with a concert at Gwanghwamun on March 21st. Netflix livestreamed the approximately one-hour performance to 190 countries under the title 'Comeback Live: Arirang.' As of 9 PM on March 22nd, Netflix reported that the combined viewership of live broadcasts and on-demand replays reached 18.4 million in a single night. The concert video garnered 13.1 million views, securing the number one position on Netflix's non-English content weekly chart with a dominant lead over second place. The content topped the weekly charts in 24 countries globally, including South Korea, Mexico, Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Bulgaria, and entered the top 10 in 80 countries total. Chart performance has been strong across platforms. On Spotify's 'Daily Top Songs Global,' the album's title track 'Swim' from their fifth studio album 'Arirang' maintained the number one position for three consecutive days (March 20-22). B-side track 'Body to Body' held the number two spot for four consecutive days, with eight BTS tracks entering Spotify's global top 10. On Japan's Oricon Chart weekly album rankings (March 16-22), 'Arirang' claimed first place with sales of 547,000 copies, achieving the highest sales by a foreign artist in 2026. Domestically, 'Swim' topped the daily charts on major music platforms including Melon, Bugs, and Genie. BTS held an additional comeback concert at Manhattan's Pier 17 in New York on March 23rd. The group is set to appear on NBC's 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' on March 26-27, with a documentary 'BTS: The Return' releasing on March 27th.
