Virtual idol group PLAVE will release its 5th mini album ‘HYPERDRIVE’ digitally at 6 p.m. on October 12. According to its agency VLAST, it is the group’s first new album in about six months since the 4th mini album ‘Caligo Pt.2’ in April, and the physical album will come out the following day, October 13. Ahead of the comeback, PLAVE has been releasing racing-themed visuals on its official social media. The B-version concept photos released on September 29 and 30 show the five members in racing suits against a track and race cars, while the individual shots use each member’s color and racing helmets. At midnight on October 1, the group also released the B-version visual sampler, which follows the A version and shows the members on the track with race cars. PLAVE previously premiered the album’s title track ‘Star Trace’ during the encore of its first world tour ‘KEEP IT MANIC’ at Incheon Munhak Stadium on September 12–13.
