DAY6's Young K makes fifth appearance at alma mater Dongguk University's festival on the 30th; band to headline “XMF 2026” on October 4 and hold fan meeting October 23–25

DAY6's Young K is returning to the festival stage at his alma mater, Dongguk University. It was reported on the 30th that he was scheduled to perform that afternoon at the festival held at Dongguk University's Seoul campus in Jung-gu, Seoul. Having performed at the festival with DAY6 in 2017 and 2019, as a soloist in 2023 and again with DAY6 in 2024, this marks his fifth appearance. Among younger students he is also known as “senior Young-hyun,” after his real name, Kang Young-hyun. Young K entered Dongguk University's business administration department in 2012, debuted as DAY6's vocalist and bassist in 2015, and graduated in August 2018 while balancing music and studies, earning the fan nickname “business by day, band by night.” His solo career is also thriving. His second full-length album “영기스트,” released in July, topped music and album charts, and his solo concert at Inspire Arena in Incheon in August sold out. He continues his first solo tour through March next year in cities including Bangkok, Taipei, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Manila and Kuala Lumpur, and has been named to the day-one lineup of “2026 KGMA” at Gocheok Sky Dome on November 7–8 as a solo artist. He is also active in variety content, including as a regular on tvN's “Amazing Saturday” and on his personal YouTube channel “Gong-K.” DAY6 also has group schedules ahead: the band will headline “XMF 2026” at Paradise City in Incheon on October 4 and hold its official fan meeting “Every DAY6, Every My Day” at Inspire Arena in Incheon from October 23 to 25.
