Red Velvet's Joy (Park Soo-young) takes on her first-ever voice acting role as human girl Arabella in the animated film “Stitch Head”

Red Velvet's Joy (actress Park Soo-young) has taken on animated voice acting for the first time since her debut. According to SM Entertainment, Park voices the human girl Arabella in the animated film “Stitch Head: The Little Monster of the Secret Castle,” which opened on September 30. The film follows the extraordinary adventures of Stitch Head, a little monster created in a secret castle by a mad genius professor. Arabella, played by Park, is a girl with quirky curiosity and a kind heart who looks at the monsters without prejudice, becomes their true friend and sets off on an adventure with them, serving as a central pillar of the story. Park said of Arabella, “She is a kind friend who looks at the monsters without prejudice and helps them. Those qualities appealed to me, so I decided to take part.” She added, “I tried to capture bright energy and a positive attitude, so I hope many people will watch it.” Having continued her music career as Red Velvet's Joy while also working in dramas and variety shows as actress Park Soo-young, attention is on how she will convey the character's emotions and personality through her voice alone. The film has been showing in theaters nationwide since the 30th.
