Girl group KATSEYE appeared as the musical guest on the Season 52 premiere of NBC's flagship comedy show 'Saturday Night Live' (SNL). Making their first appearance on the show since debut, KATSEYE performed 'Animal', the pre-release single from their third EP 'WILD', and the title track 'Hootie Frutti', and also took part in a comedy sketch. During 'Animal', the members threw off their black jackets midway through to reveal outfits featuring feathers and jewel embellishments, bringing out the song's provocative mood with bold expressions under red lighting. For 'Hootie Frutti', they delivered a cheerful performance on a set resembling a tropical fruit juice shop. In the comedy segment, they appeared in 'Dream Academy: Season 2', a parody of 'The Debut: Dream Academy', the audition program that created the group. In a setup where the former contestants became judges selecting members for a new girl group, they drew laughs by earnestly cheering on quirky contestants. Billboard described the appearance as a milestone showing KATSEYE's rapid growth and called them 'one of the most commercially successful girl groups in the world'. KATSEYE have also recently appeared on NBC's 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' and the 'Today' show. The group was nominated in four categories—Best Group, Song of Summer, Best K-Pop and Best Choreography—at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards held on the 27th (local time), and is scheduled to perform at the Dallas–Fort Worth opening show of the 2026 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour on December 1.
