'BIGBANG 20TH ANNIVERSARY MEDIA EXHIBITION 'COSMOS'', a large-scale media exhibition celebrating the 20th anniversary of BIGBANG's debut, has come to a successful close. Hosted by YG Entertainment, organized by entertech company Creative MUT and held in cooperation with the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the exhibition saw tickets for its prequel exhibition in Jamsil sell out in one second after booking opened, and recorded about 45,000 cumulative visitors across the prequel and main exhibitions. Although it was a media exhibition without the artists attending in person, foreign visitors continued to come. The main exhibition was held at 'dududo SEOUL', an underground cultural complex connecting City Hall and Euljiro 1-ga stations. It marked the first use as a cultural space of a 1,000-pyeong (335 m long) underground downtown space that had been left unused for about 40 years since the construction of Subway Line 2. The venue was made up of 11 themed zones, including the immersive laser show 'COSMOS BEGINS', the media facade and lyric media tunnel 'COSMIC SIGNAL', the AI listening zone 'COSMIC ECHO', the VR zone 'VIRTUAL ORBIT' featuring a new-song performance, and the 5G hologram 'COSMIC STAGE'. At the exhibition-only merchandise store, items such as a new 20th anniversary light stick and holographic T-shirts limited to 2,020 pieces quickly sold out. In cooperation with the city of Seoul, free admission was also provided to about 1,000 people from underprivileged groups, including local children and teenagers. Having finished its Seoul run, 'COSMOS' plans to continue as a media exhibition tour in 12 major cities around the world, including in China. BIGBANG is carrying on its 20th anniversary project alongside its 19-city world tour 'BIGBANG 2026-2027 WORLD TOUR 'XX : COSMOS''.
