fromis_9's Lee Chaeyoung has joined Ahn Jung-hwan and Hyoyeon as an MC of 'Contract Marriage', a new variety show on KBS Joy and MBC Every1. The show premieres on the 28th at 10:30 p.m. 'Contract Marriage' is a marriage-simulation observational reality show in which men and women who earnestly want to marry experience married life in advance through a contract, exploring the meaning of marriage and realistic partnership. It is the first work in which producer Nam Gyu-hong, known for dating reality shows, puts 'marriage' front and center, with 'I Am Solo' chief director Na Sang-won and producer Baek Jeong-hoon also taking part in production. Lee Chaeyoung serves as one of the three MCs of the 'marriage advisory panel' alongside Ahn Jung-hwan and Hyoyeon. According to the first-episode preview released by the production team, groom Jung-hwan, introduced as the 'Seattle Confucian boy', and a mysterious bride hold a wedding at their first meeting and exchange a contract. As they read clauses such as 'Once we become a couple by contract, we will faithfully carry out married life', one clause is revealed and the three MCs could not hide their surprise, saying "That's too cold" and "This is a bit sad." Jung-hwan also confessed, "It might hurt," and "I felt the weight of it when I saw the contract." The preview also shows Ahn Jung-hwan responding "No comment" when Jung-hwan's past is revealed as the bride delivers a gift she prepared for the animal-loving groom. The production team asked viewers to join the first day of the couple, who skip dating and start with married life.
