Junghwa Arts University held a special lecture on March 13th at the Daehaknno campus featuring producer ChaMane (Cha Jung-wook), who has produced hit songs for RIIZE and TWS. The lecture was delivered to students in the Music Technology and Top-Liner majors of the Practical Music Department and served as the second installment of the 'K-POP Production Masterclass with Active Hit Makers' series. ChaMane is a top-tier producer and top-liner who has worked on numerous K-POP tracks including RIIZE's 'FAME', TWS's 'Isn't It Nice to Run Following Your Heart?', Taeyong's 'SHALALA', &TEAM's 'SAMIDARE', and EXO's 'Another Day', while actively operating in the global music market. The lecture, titled 'From RIIZE to TWS: The Technology of Top-Lining Completing Global 5th Generation', covered practical know-how including melody composition techniques reflecting artist concepts and identity, vocal arrangement methods targeting global markets, and hook-making strategies for strong public recognition. The session featured comparative analysis of actual topline demos and final master recordings, explaining the song completion process and decision-making in production. Additionally, ChaMane shared collaboration approaches with track makers and communication strategies essential in music production, enabling students to gain comprehensive understanding of K-POP production processes from real industry experience.
