The Japan Gold Disc Awards, hosted by the Japan Record Association, honors artists and works contributing to the music industry's development, with winners selected based on the previous year's album and music video sales, as well as streaming and download figures. The 'Best 3 New Artists (Asia)' award is given to the top three rookie artists in Asia excluding Japan, while the 'New Artist of the Year (Asia)' goes to the group with the highest sales among them.
