Forbes evaluated MONSTA X's new album 'The Phase' as an album that showed new changes while maintaining the team's identity. The title song ‘MAGIC’ naturally evolves from hip-hop to ballad and pop dance, and contains the members’ wide range of vocals. Jooheon participated in four songs, including the title song, and Hyungwon was in charge of writing and composing ‘Sweet Night, Sweet Morning’. The album ranked 6th on the worldwide iTunes album chart and ranked 1st on the K-pop album charts in six regions, including the United States and the United Kingdom.
