TWS, a six-member group under Pledis Entertainment, achieved a significant milestone by winning two awards at the 40th Japan Gold Disc Awards: 'New Artist of the Year (Asia)' and 'Best 3 New Artists (Asia)'. These prestigious awards, determined by the Japan Record Association based on album sales, streaming, and download figures, underscore TWS's strong impact on the Japanese market. The group's success stems from their Japanese debut in July with the single 'Hajimemashite (Nice to see you again)', which debuted at number one on both the Oricon and Billboard Japan weekly charts four times. The single surpassed 250,000 cumulative shipments, earning platinum certification from the Japan Record Association, and ranked second among overseas artists in Oricon's 2025 new artist rankings. Beyond chart achievements, TWS demonstrated strong live presence through their first Japanese fanmeeting, '2025 TWS 1ST FANMEETING <42:CLUB> IN JAPAN', and their debut tour, '2025 TWS TOUR '24/7:WITH:US' IN JAPAN', which attracted a combined 80,000 attendees. The group further expanded their visibility by performing at major music festivals including Rock in Japan Festival 2025 and Countdown Japan 25/26, as well as appearing on Fuji TV's year-end special program 'FNS Kayousai 2025'. In their award acceptance speech, TWS expressed gratitude to their fanbase '42' and pledged to continue delivering music that brings joy to audiences worldwide.
