Big Hit Music said on September 3 that Butter exceeded 1.5 billion Spotify streams. It is BTS’s third song to reach the milestone, following Dynamite and the Coldplay collaboration My Universe. Released in May 2021, Butter debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped it ten times in total. Its music video also passed 1.1 billion YouTube views in July, adding a video milestone to its streaming achievements.
