Jaeyoon, a member of the K-pop group SF9, will perform as Chaerok, a wandering young ballet dancer, in the Seoul Arts Company's creative dance-theater production 'Nabil Era'. The work is based on a webtoon of the same name that ranked first in ratings during its serialization on the Naver webtoon platform and received love from all generations. The story depicts the communication and growth between Deokchul, a seventy-six-year-old man who chooses ballet as his dream at the end of his life, and Chaerok, a twenty-three-year-old youth wandering in anxious youth. The character Chaerok, played by Jaeyoon, lacks self-confidence, suffers from injuries and financial hardship, but never lets go of ballet. Through meeting Deokchul, Jaeyoon will express the emotional changes of Chaerok's wavering heart turning back to the stage through vocals and acting. Jaeyoon has continued his acting career appearing in various productions including musicals 'Start-up', 'Fantasy Fairy Tale', 'Misunderstanding! Oh Se-young', 'Seopyeonje', and 'The Picture of Dorian Gray'. In February, he showcased his stage presence through a live performance in the musical concert 'The Mission: K'. Having demonstrated stable vocal ability and dancing skills as an SF9 member, Jaeyoon is expected to reveal new charms by showcasing ballet in this production. 'Nabil Era' will begin with performances at the Gimhae Culture Hall Maruhol in Gimhae, South Gyeongsang Province on April 17-18, followed by regional performances in Andong and Daegu, with main performances at CJ Towol Theater in Seoul Arts Center from May 2-17, and a Taiwan performance is also scheduled for July.
