The global collaboration between TWICE's Jihyo and Shenseea is achieving notable results in overseas markets. The official music video for ‘Distant Lover’, released through Music Cow’s ‘Fandom Project’, has exceeded 10 million views on YouTube. As of the morning of September 1, the number of views reached 11 million. This is the first music video released as a fandom project to exceed 10 million views. ‘Distant Rubber’ showed a positive response in overseas markets immediately after its release. After entering the iTunes and Apple Music charts in over 30 countries around the world, the music video also exceeded 10 million views, confirming the interest of global fans in both music and video content. In particular, this achievement is noteworthy in that the collaboration of two artists with different musical foundations was consumed across borders. ‘Distant Lover’, a collaboration between Jihyo of Twice, a K-pop representative, and Sensia, a Jamaican dancehall artist, attracted the attention of overseas fans by creating a point of contact between the fan bases of the two artists. There is also a difference from the one-time interest concentrated at the beginning of the release. After the release of the music, it continued to enter overseas charts, and the number of music video views also steadily increased, showing a trend of interest in content leading to video consumption. The performance of ‘Distant Lover’ stands out even among global collaboration songs released through the Music Cow Fandom Project. Previously, Ahn Hyo-seop and Khalid's 'Something Special' rose to 39th place on Spotify's US daily chart, and has remained in the top 30 of the North American radio chart 'Mediabase Top 40' as of now, three months after its release. The Music Cow Fandom Project is being carried out by presenting new collaborative music based on the connection between artists and fans, and between artists. This ‘Distant Lover’ attracts attention in that it simultaneously recorded specific achievements such as entering the charts in over 30 countries and reaching 11 million views on YouTube. As ‘Distant Lover’, which started with the meeting of Jihyo and Sensia, continues to attract interest in the global music market, attention is also focused on its future overseas performance.
