Taemin Makes Global Leap with New Album After Historic Coachella Performance

Taemin of SHINee has proven his presence by becoming the first K-pop male solo artist to perform at the major American festival 'Coachella.' Taemin is strengthening his global activities by releasing a new EP album 'Phase 1: Soft Violence' on March 31, 2024. This is his first album since joining Galaxy Corporation, the agency of BIGBANG's G-Dragon. The new album contains a total of 11 tracks and features 'Float,' a sweet pop sound track, and 'Goui,' a hip-hop pop genre track in which Taemin directly participated in songwriting, as double titles. In particular, this album stands out for its original visual narrative that combines the paradoxical concepts of 'softness' and 'violence,' utilizing familiar yet alien objects such as ants, slime, rusted walls, and clay in the released concept photos to visually expand the concept of violence and maximize the album's contrasting aesthetics.
