The location was initially misidentified as a Hong Kong club. Videos circulating on social media showed Mingyu naturally enjoying music and dancing at the club, including a scene where he conversed with someone appearing to be a female DJ. However, some internet users maliciously edited the footage and made allegations that Mingyu deliberately approached a woman with inappropriate intentions. The controversy has subsided as the Seventeen fandom shared additional videos demonstrating that Mingyu was simply enjoying music at the club without any particular intent.
