MONSTA X unveiled a mood sampler video for their new EP 'The Phase' on September 22, set to be released on September 4 through their agency Starship Entertainment. The released video features the members displaying different poses and movements against a dark warehouse background, with heavy metallic sounds creating a tense atmosphere. 'The Phase' is an album that expresses MONSTA X's current state through 6 tracks with different moods and emotional directions, encompassing their identity, confidence, passion, love, longing, and hope. Member Jooheon participated in writing, composing, and arranging the title track 'MAGIC' and three other songs, while Hyungwon contributed his self-composed track 'Sweet Night, Sweet Morning' to enhance the album's completeness. The title track 'MAGIC' metaphorically portrays the moment of intense attraction as magic, featuring rhythmic guitars, powerful beats, and harmonized rap and vocals that convey MONSTA X's signature explosive energy. Through this album, MONSTA X showcases their broadened musical spectrum refined into a more polished sound while emphasizing their distinct team identity.
