Major K-pop boy groups are making comebacks throughout August 2026. Starting with Stray Kids on August 7th, BIGBANG, NCT 127, ENHYPEN, and rookie group Alpha Drive One are all returning. Stray Kids' mini album 'This & That' achieved 9 consecutive number-one positions on Billboard 200, setting the highest record for the 21st century on that chart, while selling approximately 3.28 million copies in the domestic market for a 'Triple Million-Selling' achievement. BIGBANG released the digital single 'BiiiG' on August 19th, marking their 20th debut anniversary with a group comeback after 4 years and 4 months. K-pop album sales in the first half of 2026 reached 49.53 million copies, surpassing the previous record of 46.17 million from the first half of 2023. With continued album releases from major groups in the second half, the annual sales figures are expected to reach an all-time high.
