K-pop group TWS (members: Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, Kyungmin) proved their explosive popularity in Japan by performing at the country's largest music festival, Summer Sonic 2026. Making their debut appearance at the event, TWS attracted approximately 16,000 combined attendees across two days held on August 14th at Osaka Expo Commemoration Park and August 16th at Chiba Makuhari Messe. Opening with their Japanese single's 2nd title track 'SODA SODA' and local debut song 'Nice to see you again,' the group showcased a refreshing and energetic performance with songs including 'hey! hey!', 'HOT BLUE SHOES', 'Get It Now,' and 'OVERDRIVE.' Members delivered flawless vocals with rich band sound, particularly impressing audiences with Japanese versions of hit songs and the elaborate dance break of 'Oh Mymy : 7s' as the grand finale. Recently, TWS achieved over 160,000 copies sold on the first day of their Japanese single release and became the first K-pop song to top Billboard Japan's Hot 100 chart. They will continue their Asia tour '24/7:FOR:YOU' Japanese performances starting August 28th in Fukuoka, Hyogo, and Kanagawa.
