Lotte Department Store and YG Entertainment are collaborating to host a large-scale 20th anniversary project for BIGBANG from August 14 to 23 at Lotte Town Jamsil in Songpa-gu, Seoul. The project spans across Seokchon Lake, Lotte World Mall, and Avenue L, offering diverse content including exhibitions, dining experiences, fan participation events, and merchandise. A nighttime lighting display featuring BIGBANG's official lightstick motif, the 'Bang Bong,' illuminates the waterfront area around Seokchon Lake. On August 19 (BIGBANG's debut anniversary), special lighting will turn on at 8:19 PM. A 'Bang Bong Crown' sculpture approximately 5 meters tall will be installed. Popular bakeries at Lotte World Mall will sell limited-edition BIGBANG 20th anniversary products, and around 40 restaurants will provide commemorative napkins with special designs. An immersive exhibition with 'the COSMOS' concept will be held at the 6th-floor Art Hall of Avenue L Jamsil, showcasing 20 years of activity archive videos, behind-the-scenes performance footage, and unreleased candid photographs. The 'BIGBANG TO COSMOS' project will also feature fan messages from the official fanclub 'VIP' converted into Arecibo Code format and displayed as media art.
