Netflix's 12-episode series 'Like This Damn Love,' starring Jung Hae In and Ha Young, premiered globally today in 190 countries. The story follows elite prosecutor Go Eun-sae (Ha Young), who loses her memory and wakes up in a rural hospital, and boxing coach Jang Tae-ha (Jung Hae In), who claims to be her boyfriend. Beginning as a romantic comedy, the series transitions through melodrama, thriller, noir, and action elements at a rapid pace. Director Kim Jang-han strategically places an intense kiss scene at the end of the first episode to capture viewers' attention. Jung Hae In portrays Jang Tae-ha, a 'lifelong single' character who is awkward yet charming, while Ha Young's Eun-sae gradually finds stability amid uncertainty. The title's expression 'enjeot-gateun' (like taffy) carries dual meaning—the protagonist's difficult situation and the couple's increasingly sticky, sweet love. This marks the reunion of director Kim Jang-han, known for 'Do You Like Brahms?' and 'My Demon,' and writer Mo Ji-hye, who penned 'You Raise Me Up,' after four years apart.
