K-pop group THE BOYZ announced on August 6 that nine members—Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, Q, Sunwoo, and Eric—will continue group activities together, excluding member New. The group has completed group activity contracts and is preparing for activities under a new label system. While members will pursue individual activities through separate contracts with companies that maximize their potential, they will balance these with group activities through full cooperation. THE BOYZ is currently in a contract dispute with their former agency, Cre.Ker Entertainment. The nine members filed for contract termination in February citing unpaid settlements and breach of trust, and the court approved their injunction application to suspend the exclusive contract. The members stated their unwavering commitment to staying together as THE BOYZ for their fans. Specific plans and schedules for future group activities will be announced sequentially.
