ENHYPEN Joins Big 4 Boy Groups' August Comeback, Expected to Revive 100 Million Album Sales Record

Major K-pop boy groups are making their comeback to the market. Stray Kids (July 7), NCT 127, ENHYPEN, and BIGBANG on their 20th debut anniversary are making concentrated comebacks centered on August. K-pop physical album sales in the first half of 2024 reached 49.53 million copies, exceeding the first half of 2023 (46.17 million copies) by 7.3%, and surged 23.4% compared to the same period last year. The industry projects that these four groups alone could reclaim the annual 100 million copies sales milestone. Within K-pop's traditional 'lower first half, higher second half' market structure, the second half's major album releases are expected to be key to achieving new records. Stray Kids holds an unprecedented record of 8 consecutive number-one albums on the US Billboard 200 chart and teased global chart dominance through their new album 'THIS & THAT'.
