K-pop girl group ILLIT has set a new personal record in Japan with their second Japanese single 'I Got Your Back,' achieving 71,009 first-week sales according to the Oricon chart. The single debuted at number 4 on the weekly singles ranking for the week of August 10 (counting period July 27 - August 2), marking their highest first-week sales in Japan to date. The title track 'I Got Your Back (Feat. JISOO, MOMOKA of HANA)' soared to number one on AWA's real-time trending chart and has secured strong positions on major streaming platforms including Line Music, Apple Music Japan, and Spotify Japan. The music video gained global recognition by ranking on YouTube's Weekly Popular Music Videos chart, demonstrating the group's worldwide appeal. ILLIT showcased their stable live vocal abilities and energetic performances during appearances on Fuji TV's 'Mezamashi TV' and TBS's 'CDTV Live! Live!' on August 3rd. The group also performed alongside Japanese idol group Cutie Street at the Mezamashi WANGAN Festival in Tokyo. ILLIT plans to continue engaging with Japanese audiences through a new single release event on August 8th and their performance at the Lucky Festival 2026 on August 9th.
