ENHYPEN Sells Out 41,000 Seats in Brazil Debut Solo Concert; Latin America Becomes New K-pop Hub

Latin America, centered on Mexico and Brazil, is rapidly emerging as a new hub for K-pop. ENHYPEN sold out 41,000 seats at their first solo concert in São Paulo, Brazil, while BTS drew 150,000 fans across three stadium shows in Mexico City. The Mexico Arena concert expanded to three shows with 60,000 capacity due to overwhelming ticket demand. In the latter half of the year, AESPA will meet Mexican fans in September, and Stray Kids will hold festival-style concerts called 'Stray City' across Colombia, Argentina, and Mexico. Once merely a transit point on North American tours, Latin America is now recognized as a major music market, with Brazil ranked 8th and Mexico 10th globally according to IFPI standards. Major agencies HYBE and JYP Entertainment have established Latin American subsidiaries, while the Korean Culture and Content Agency plans to open a business center in São Paulo, Brazil next year. The passionate dance culture of Latin American fans and the soulful, melancholic yet joyful essence of Latin music resonate deeply with Korean emotional sensibilities of 'ppong' and 'han' (Korean sentiment), creating strong cultural resonance.
