Gyeonggi Province's Goyang City announced on August 4th that it will hold a '2026 Second Half Major Performance Administrative Support Briefing' on August 6th in preparation for BIGBANG's 20th debut anniversary concert and Lim Young-woong's concert. BIGBANG's concert is scheduled for this month while Lim Young-woong's performance will take place next month in Goyang. The city anticipates massive domestic and international audiences for both concerts and plans to concentrate administrative resources on safety management inside and outside the venue and traffic congestion mitigation. The briefing will involve relevant agencies including Gyeonggi Police Agency, Fire Department, Korea Railroad Corporation, and Goyang City Management Corporation, which will discuss spectator flow management, public transportation operations, illegal street vendor crackdowns, and environmental improvements around the concert venue. Goyang City plans to develop concert-linked tourism content and expand city promotion to activate local tourism and consumption, encouraging attendees to visit regional tourist attractions and commercial areas beyond the concerts. Based on its continuous experience hosting major concerts since the second half of 2024, Goyang City aims to spread the economic ripple effects of concert hosting throughout the region and establish itself as a global K-culture hub city.
