BTS launched their North American tour at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey after refusing to participate in the Grammy Awards' newly created 'Asia Pop' category. The venue, which hosted the World Cup final halftime show two weeks prior, drew an impressive 160,000 fans over two nights, marking one of the group's largest concert events. During the performances, BTS modified song lyrics to convey their message, with leader RM changing the lyrics of their hit song 'MIC Drop' from 9 years ago to "We were born in Korea and that's why they don't know us." The group also performed 'Aliens,' carrying the message "There are no foreigners in art," while fans held up signs emphasizing that music should not be divided by region or language. In support of BTS's Grammy boycott, fans showed solidarity on social media with hashtags like "Art has no foreigners" and "We support BTS," and the song 'Aliens,' released four months earlier, experienced a chart resurgence.
