BTS V Shares Piano Performance with Pianist Cho Seong-jin, Reviving His Famous Quote

BTS member V recently posted a video on his SNS showing him playing piano alongside pianist Cho Seong-jin, generating significant buzz. V performed the jazz standard "Misty" while Cho performed Chopin's "Ballade No. 4," with V captioning the video "It's already started." This phrase originates from Cho's first official studio album released in 2016, a year after winning the 2015 International Chopin Piano Competition. In that album, Cho explained his interpretation of Ballade No. 4, stating "We don't start this piece. It's already started," embodying the philosophy that a performer doesn't create music but rather naturally continues music already flowing. Though this interview generated discussion among classical music enthusiasts a decade ago, it has now gained explosive renewed interest through V's use of the same phrase in his video caption. Chopin's Ballade No. 4 is considered the most profound of his four ballades, distinguished by its complex contrapuntal structure and philosophical depth.
