Bumzu, a producer and vocalist for SEVENTEEN, won the Grand Prize in the Popular Songwriting and Composing category at the '12th KOMCA Copyright Awards' ceremony held on the 25th. This marks his third consecutive year winning the prestigious award. The KOMCA Copyright Awards is the only copyright awards ceremony in Korea, officially organized by the Korean Music Copyright Association, which honors songwriters and composers who earned the most copyright royalties in their respective fields during the previous year. The association praised Bumzu, stating that "with his distinctive creative capabilities, he has solidified his status as a K-pop hit maker by producing SEVENTEEN's hit songs including 'Thunder', 'Son O Gong', 'Love, Money, Fame (feat. DJ Khaled)', and 'Very Nice'." In his acceptance speech, Bumzu expressed gratitude, saying "I am truly grateful for this honorable award, and I promise to repay with authentic music that brings comfort and joy to the public." Signed under Pledis Entertainment, Bumzu has been leading K-pop industry trends by producing signature tracks for artists under his label, and he joined the Recording Academy's voting membership last year.
