The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency is strengthening monitoring of online ticket fraud ahead of BTS's 'BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG' concert scheduled for the 21st of next month at Gwanghwamun Plaza. Police Commissioner Park Jung-bo announced on the 23rd that 34 posts promoting ticket proxy purchases have been requested for deletion and blocking so far. The BTS comeback concert will be held free of charge except for booking fees, with online reservations opening at 8 PM on the 23rd through the NOL ticket platform. Police have identified high risks of various crimes including proxy purchases, ticket reselling, and server attacks, as well as personal information theft fraud. Particularly concerning are proxy purchase recruitment posts offering low fees such as 10,000 won while requesting personal information, suggesting the actual intent may be information theft rather than profit. Additionally, resale posts display varied prices ranging from 100,000 to 1.2 million won, raising concerns about fraud. Police explained that the concert organizers will implement identity verification at the entrance to fundamentally block proxy purchases and ticket resales, while urging public vigilance.
