Park Jiwon, the main vocalist of fromis_9, is making her musical theater debut. She will perform the role of Allie, the protagonist, in the musical 'Hellskitchen' at the GS Art Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, running through November 8th. The musical is set in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan in the 1990s and tells the coming-of-age story of young Allie, who finds her own voice through music. Inspired by the life and music of American singer-songwriter Alicia Keys, the production authentically explores themes of dreams, music, family, and identity. Park Jiwon's character, Allie, is a free-spirited and curious girl living alone with her mother in Hell's Kitchen, who discovers her true path by breaking free from her mother's protection through music. Ahead of her first performance, Park Jiwon expressed both nervousness and excitement, stating she has prepared diligently to authentically convey Allie's story to audiences. Currently, fromis_9 is actively promoting their second full-length album 'Glow ME,' and Park Jiwon is expected to expand her artistic horizons by demonstrating new possibilities on the musical stage.
