SF9's Yoo Tae-yang has concluded his approximately three-month journey performing as the character Roger in the musical 'Rent'. On the 22nd, Yoo completed his final performance at Seoul's Coex Artium, finishing all scheduled shows for this season as a new cast member taking on one of the central characters in the production. 'Rent' is a contemporary adaptation of Puccini's opera 'La Bohème', depicting the lives of artists living in 1990s East Village, New York. Since its Korean premiere in the early 2000s, the production has reached its tenth season and continues to receive consistent audience support. The character Roger that Yoo portrayed is someone who yearns for dreams and love even in desperate circumstances. Through refined acting and singing, Yoo earned high praise and evaluations describing him as "Roger himself". After his final performance, Yoo shared his heartfelt reflections: "During 'Rent', it felt like I was dreaming. I was truly happy to meet Roger, and I sincerely thank everyone who created this shining opportunity. Everything has been glory for me." Regarding his preparation process, Yoo revealed his honest approach, continuously questioning whether he was ready for the stage and whether he could perform without embarrassment. He had both good and difficult days during the run, but emphasized he gave his best effort every moment and hoped to leave good memories with the audiences. Meanwhile, before his military service, Yoo will hold a solo fanmeeting titled '2026 SF9 Yoo Tae-yang Fanmeeting "THE ROOM: Together"' on the 28th, where he will bid farewell to fans and wrap up his current activities.
