The group gained recognition after appearing on Mnet's 'Boys Planet II' last year. Kang Woo-jin was initially introduced as an unaffiliated participant but was later revealed to be a trainee under Wakeone, causing controversy. Following this, Woo-jin signed an exclusive contract with FNC Entertainment alongside Min Rip-woo, and the duo debuted as FLARE U in May with their first mini album 'YOUTH ERROR.'
