ENHYPEN's Sunghoon Participates as Olympic Torch Relay Carrier at Milano Cortina 2026

Sunghoon, a member of K-pop representative group ENHYPEN, has been selected as an Olympic torch relay carrier for the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics. On February 5th at 4:20 PM (local time), one day before the opening ceremony, Sunghoon successfully carried the Olympic flame through a section near Milano Bolivar Station, igniting excitement for the world's largest winter sports festival. Having trained as a figure skater since childhood, Sunghoon began his figure skating journey after watching Kim Yuna's gold medal performance at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics on television. He trained for 10 years with the Olympic Games as his ultimate goal from age eight onwards. In an exclusive interview with Olympics.com, Sunghoon expressed his feelings, stating "I've trained for almost half my life for this Olympics, so being here as an idol and torch carrier is truly an honor." He described Kim Yuna as his "role model" and the starting point of his figure skating career. When asked which ENHYPEN song he would recommend for an Olympic figure skating program, Sunghoon suggested 'Chaconne.' His participation symbolizes his remarkable transformation from a figure skater to a global K-pop star and serves as a meaningful moment in sharing K-pop culture with the world's largest winter sports celebration.
